Book Recommendations

"A People's History of the United States" by Howard Zinn looks into the history of the United States from a perspective not otherwise taught. From chapter 1, Howard Zinn provides the story of Columbus, not as a hero who discovered America, but who sought to enslave the Natives early on. I have a history with this book as it was taught to me as a student at HTH. Reading this book shifted and stretched my thinking of America, and continues to guide some of my project ideas.
